Entry #11 "Blogging"

"Your Blog? or My Blog?"~~~~~~~12/5/2015

"Blog" is a personal journal that people update frequently, it is basically a great platform for people to share their lifestyle, news or opinion. For me, blogs is a way to introduce myself to different people, and it's also a way to express my emotion because you allow to write anythings on the blog, you can share yourself to others.

The best benefits about writing blogs are flexible, experienced and informative. There isn't any topic to limit your writing, which mean you have the right away to decide your own topic, people can know more about themselves whole writing blogs, also some blogger might found some new information whole they are researching for the blogs.Although you can pick your own topic when writing blogs, but sometimes you might not have any idea what to write, or what topic you should go for. That one of the challenges of writing blogs.

Try to keep the blog in the same structure every entry, avoid using inappropriate words because our audiences might not want to read that. The most important is clear the date and time to the audience. When we write a blog for class, we should consider who is our audience,  we should be insightful and considerate as well. Our voice and tone to the blog are very important to the audiences because voice and tone of a blog can either continued entertaining the audience or the other way around.

As I write more and more blogs, I think that blog can be very casual sometimes, you can talk about anythings you want, but what I really learned from blogs is that I getting more experienced with blogging. I remember my first entry took me few hours to get it done, but the more I practice, I realized that, is actually not that hard to deal with blogs, and now it took me less time to finish the blog writing.

The way I see this blog assignment for a class, I think it is useful or valuable. First of all, we have another opportunists to practice our writing. secondly, we get to see others student blog, and we can comment on their blog, which makes us more concentrate on our own blog. We also get to know more about our classmate and know more about their background. 

Anyway, I think our professor should write blog with us, that way we get to know more about our instructor, and we can learn more about how to write a good blog, from our instructor blog entries. 

Entry #10 Exchange Student Life

"Exchange is fun or not?!"~~~~~~12/4/2015
I'm an exchange student from Hong Kong. I have been in the state for almost three years, and I really like here. The first year is always the best! I remember the first year of my exchange program, I'm kind of new to this place, feel very special and I really enjoy being an exchange student, and all these restaurants and delicious food  around the valley.

This is me the First Year.

The second year, I'm a freshman in college. Everything starts all over again. At that time I realized that I can't afford to eat that many junk food, like subway, Dairy Queen, Taco Bell, In and Out, and my favorite Jack In The Box! Then I start buying fresh food from the grocery store, and try to save so money, but I still go out and eat, just not as much as the first year. (One of the bad thing is no one is going to fix you dinners, because your mama is not here. No one is going to take care of you except for yourself, but you learned a lot from this, you become more independent)

Different language and culture is always the biggest problem that exchange students had to face. since we spoke a different language, we have to spend way more time to study and learn, but when you get used to it, you will be fine. 

Off cause I miss my family and friends, I get to meet my family every summer, because that the time when I go back to Hong Kong. (I'm glad that I can go back during summer, because it is too HOT here!!)

Blog Entry #9 Different Mdia

"Differents Way to persuade audience!"~~~~~~~12/4/2015
"Media is a way to spread messages around, helps people communicate " there are different kinds of media; television, radio, newspapers, and the Internet. Nowadays, internets is one of the biggest and most important media that people use to communicate or chat with their friends or families. 

Differents media has differents way to info, entertain or persuade the public, and different companies might have different tone or opinion to present the news or message. That why sometimes people will receive differents version of the story. Some companies might use a more sexual, bloody or violence way to present a news to get more attention from the public. Media bias is a big problem that nowadays public have to concern about, just like the picture below, soemtime what you saw on the news, might not be the true story. It is jsut the story that the they want you to know.

Social media, like Facebook, Instagram, twitter and vine.Are very popular all over the world, and most of the user are teenager or adult. They are often using those social media to catch up the news. and I believe that social media are start taking over the news, television, radio. Social media has the power of elevated self-esteem, but it can also drag it down. Just like you can Like or Unlike the comment or picture on Facebook.
